Welcome to Yasmina British Academy. We are one of the few recognised outstanding schools in the UAE where our students’ attainment and progress, within all Year groups, are significantly above UK, UAE and global averages. The whole Academy community is very proud of its achievements to date and is looking forward to working in partnership to become a leading Academy of excellence within the region.

No matter of the age of the student, central to everything that we do at Yasmina British Academy is focused on the development of happy, confident, independent and flexible learners, who are fully prepared for advanced study and work within the ever changing demands of the 3^rd Millennium. We genuinely care about all people within our Academy community.

We have the highest expectations of staff and the whole student body. Central to this vision is the drive and determination to ensure that all everybody is fully supported and maximises their potential and performance in all strands of school life.

Highly effective home/school partnerships are central to everything we will do at Yasmina British Academy. We genuinely believe that keeping parents fully informed and engaged in their child’s education from a very early age will fully support and maximise academic and social development. A full programme of parental consultation evenings, open forums, parental engagement workshops, coffee mornings and our open door policy will ensure that the parental body is kept completely informed of all school developments and fully empowered to support their child though out all stages of their education.

When we first started, six years ago, Yasmina British Academy had a high academic rating and has consistently maintained its status over the years. We love the diversity and inclusion in both our daughter’s classes.

1. Is Yasmina British Academy highly rated?

We are immensely proud to be rated as an Outstanding BSO school and an outstanding ADEK rated school. In their 2018 report, the British School Overseas inspection deemed Yasmina British Academy to be “Outstanding”. The report highlighted the “Outstanding” provision from Early Years through to Sixth Form in quality of teaching, learning and assessment, as well as leadership and management. In addition to academic success, they deemed the personal development, behaviour and welfare for students to also be “Outstanding”. In 2019, Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) rated Yasmina British Academy across all six performance standards.

2. How do your students perform academically?

Our students have consistently excelled in their academic performance. Our 2020 cohort attained Outstanding results in their external examinations, significantly outperforming the UK average.

We offer The English National Curriculum with a STEAM focus. STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
